Get to Know Dr. Kate Ring
Dr. Kate Ring is a dedicated and compassionate dentist at Pragma Dental. Originally from Tulsa, OK, she is the youngest of five children and has always had a deep love for helping others. Dr. Ring and her husband, Brennan, who is also a dentist, met while attending dental school at the University of Oklahoma. They now share their lives together with their baby, Russell. Fun fact: Dr. Ring is also the sister-in-law of Dr. Kaylee Ring, who also practices at Pragma Dental, and they were in the same graduating dental class.
Dr. Ring earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. She was honored as the sole Outstanding Senior in the College of Arts and Sciences for her graduating year. Dr. Ring then went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, where she honed her clinical skills and developed her passion for patient care.
Her interest in dentistry first began with the inspiration of her older brother Stephen, who is a dentist in Tulsa. Over time, however, Dr. Ring realized that dentistry uniquely combines her love for art, science, and working with people. This realization continues to fuel her commitment to providing the best care for her patients.
In addition to her work at Pragma Dental, Dr. Ring is passionate about community service. She has volunteered at several clinics throughout Oklahoma City, including Good Shepherd, Crossings Clinic, and Open Wide Clinic. Her passion for giving back extends internationally, as she has also served on a dental mission trip to Jamaica.
Dr. Ring is known for her down-to-earth nature and transparent approach with patients. She is committed to diagnosing and treating in a conservative, minimally invasive way that is maximally effective for oral health. One area of dentistry that she is particularly passionate about is endodontics. Dr. Ring finds great fulfillment in performing root canal treatments, which not only help alleviate pain in the course of a single visit, but also saves teeth. She has taken several continuing education courses across the country to continually advance her skills in endodontics.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ring enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband Brennan, their baby Russell, and their two dogs, Auggie and Buster. She loves to read, craft, do puzzles, and play games with friends. If given the chance, Dr. Ring is always eager to be outside, whether it's enjoying happy hour on a patio or taking a walk with her dogs.
Dr. Ring prides herself on providing high-quality, compassionate care to her patients while maintaining a personal and approachable style.
